April Perkinson, English and music instructor living in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, organized the volunteer trip to Kogane-hama, Ishinomaki, Miyagi.
She shared her story - how she was able to put together a group of 20 people from 7 nationalities, raised money, bought and organize the transportation in 9 days; get in touch with the local church group to set up the location; drove to Ishinomaki and held the BBQ lunch.
Taka, professional videogapher, lives in Iwaki, Fukushima which is located on the south of Fukushima Nuclear Power Plants.
He recently launched the Japanese website "i-Breeze IWAKI" to spread the small news from Iwaki, Fukushima. He will explain how he spent the first one month since March 11 in Fukushima.
Last weekend on May 15, 2011, he went to cover the anti-nuclear rally in Iwaki, Fukushima.
TEPCO has admitted that the reactor 1, 2 and 3 of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant may potentially experienced meldown. The fuel rods could be melted down.
The voluntary evacuation led the young kids and pregnant mothers to leave Iitate, Fukushima.
