Kanto & Tohoku Rolling Blackout

TEPCO & Tohoku EPCO started their rolling blackout.

UPDATE: TEPCO and Tohoku-EPCO cancelled their rolling blackout (They may have to re-initiate this Summer 2011).

At first, look up your Group number by using Google interactive map, and then watch my archive for your area. Or you can ask us a question during the live cast.

 

Why?

The shut down of many power plants in Kanto (Tokyo) and Tohoku (North Japan) is facing the shortage of electricity.

 

What to do

  • Try to avoid traveling
  • Save electricity as much as possible even if you are not in the area
  • Try to avoid driving. Traffic signal will be off
  • Contact TEPCO customer service if you need the special medical attention
