Saijo Sake Festival 2011

On Saturday, October 8, 2011 (JST), YokosoNews will be live casting Saijo Sake Festival (西条酒祭り) from Higashi Hiroshima, Japan all day long from 9am to 5pm (subject to change).

Saijo Sake Festival started in 1974, and they finalized the style in 1990 to celebrate the sake from all over the world.

Saijo is located approx 30km min East of Hiroshima. Saijo is known for its clean water. Therefore, they are known for the sake factory since Edo era. Now Saijo still has 8 Sake breweries,

Every October, Saijo holds Sake festival. People can go to each Sake brewery to take a look, and taste each Sake. They will also invite Sake from all over Japan.

YokosoNews was invited by Sake Festival committee to live cast the event in English.
