311 Disaster Update #46

1. Live report from Iwaki, Fukushima
Taka, professional videogapher & moderator of "i-Breeze IWAKI" bring you the live report from Iwaki Fukushima.
It's summer time, many public facilities re-opened. Various events and festivals are organized to cheer up the people of Fukushima.
The cooling syttem of the spent fuel pool in Reactor No.4 has been restored. The water tempreture had dropped.
On the other hand, the people in Fukushima was shocked when they heard the 10Sv hot spot in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear power plant. Then, we talked about the concern against the potential contamination of rice as the harvest season comes near.
2. Weekly news update
The weekly summary of what has happened in North Japan and Fukushima Daichi Nuclear Power Plant.
Last weekend, the historic devastation was casused by the rain storm in Niigata and the mountain side of Fukushima. Over 6,000 houses were flooded.
In addition, two relatively strong earthquakes happened in Fukushima and Shizuoka.
