The film was shot on super 16mm film (not digital), and has the look of 1970s, and helps emphasize to create the world of Jeff Mizushima. As Mizushima has worked on a several music videos, the choice of the sound track cannot be ignored including the guest appearance of Great Northern.
Etienne! was premiered at CIneVegas Film Festival in 2009 and received Special Jury Award. Since then it has received various awards at the film festivals.
