Awa Odori excites millions in Tokushima, Japan

The Awa Dance Festival(阿波踊り Awa Odori) is the largest dance festival in Japan, attracting about 1.3 million tourists every year. The festival is held from 12 to 15 August in Tokushima Prefecture in Japan.

The variety of dancers from the young to old, male to female get together and dance all day long for 4 days. The town turns into dance town. You should feel the excitement by yourself.

The spirit of Awa Odori spread throughout Japan and the world.

Shimokitazawa (Tokyo) will soon host its Awa Odori on Aug 17~18, 2012.

Koen-ji (Tokyo) Awa Odori takes place on the last weekend of August.
