JAPAN COAST TO COAST & WEEKLY DISASTER UPDATE
Live at 8pm (JST) on Tue, Aug 23, 2011, YokosoNews Emergency Weekly Update will talk about East Japan Great Disaster and Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant incident.
In this week, we welcome Tony Torres, co-founder of Japan Coast To Coast to talk about their charity effort.
1. Japan Coast 2 Coast
Japan Coast To Coast is a non-profit group funded in 2010; cycling lovers meet charity. They are organizing Tohoku Coast to Coast Challenge from Sep 19 to 23 and the 1sst Annual Tohoku Cycling Festival from Sep 23 to 25.
Japan Coast To Coast was funded by Lowell Sheppar, Tony Torres and Mark McBennett. They want to enjoy the cycling, beautiful nature of Japan, and help for a good cause.
Since March 11, it was natural for them to take the actions to help North Japan. Working with Hope International, Japan Coast 2 Coast had organized several trips and helped donating over hundreds of bicycles.
Tony Torres, co-founder of Japan Coast To Coast joins the live cast and share his story.

2. Typhoon Talas update

Typhoon Talas (2011-12) have left catastrophic damage to Japan. There are still thousands of people in the mountain area of Wakayama, Nara and Mie waiting to be rescued. This catastrophie could become the worst Typhoon Disaster in Heisei Era.
